Dr. Levy’s Professional Coaching & Preceptorship Program
An Intensive 7-Day Immersion in Functional and Integrative Clinical Practice

Dr. Mordy Levy invites licensed health professionals to participate in a unique, hands-on professional development experience through his intensive 7-day Clinical Preceptorship Program. This program offers an unparalleled opportunity to train directly under one of the most academically credentialed and clinically experienced integrative physicians in North America.

Designed for healthcare professionals seeking to deepen their expertise in evidence-based, systems biology-informed functional medicine, this immersive program combines structured clinical observation, advanced lab interpretation, and access to Dr. Levy’s personal diagnostic and treatment notes. Participants will gain practical insight into the integrative methodologies Dr. Levy has refined over the past 25 years across three regulated health professions.

Program Overview

This preceptorship is hosted at the Toronto Integrative & Functional Medicine Clinic, where participants will observe real-time consultations, diagnostic workflows, and therapeutic interventions across a wide range of chronic and complex health conditions. Key components of the program include:

  • Direct Clinical Shadowing: Observe Dr. Levy in live patient consultations and understand how he integrates history-taking, physical exams, and diagnostic interpretation into customized treatment plans.

  • Advanced Laboratory Analysis: Learn to interpret comprehensive functional panels including organic acids, genomic variants (SNPs), hormone metabolites, and GI microbiome profiles. Participants will engage in structured discussions on clinical relevance, pattern recognition, and therapeutic application.

  • Case Reviews and Rounds: Join daily clinical debriefings and peer discussions where patient cases are reviewed in detail, from diagnostic rationale to follow-up strategies.

  • Access to Dr. Levy’s Notes: Receive curated, de-identified examples of Dr. Levy’s case documentation, including lab interpretation frameworks, supplement protocols, and mechanistic explanations behind his clinical decisions.

Levy’s Academy of Functional Medicine.

Founded on the principles of clinical excellence, translational research, and practitioner empowerment, the Academy provides structured modules in key areas such as:

  • Nutrigenomics and personalized protocols

  • Detoxification pathways and mitochondrial health

  • Endocrine and neurotransmitter balancing

  • Clinical nutrition, botanical pharmacology, and orthomolecular therapy

Participants will also receive exclusive access to board room masterclasses, evidence briefings, treatment algorithm updates, and opportunities to collaborate on case series and white papers. The Academy fosters a vibrant community of clinicians dedicated to innovation in integrative and functional medicine.

Curriculum

The 7-day intensive curriculum is structured to build both foundational and advanced competencies in functional diagnostics and therapeutic implementation:

  • Module 1: Cardiometabolic & Mitochondrial Health

    • Evaluate root causes of metabolic dysfunction, insulin resistance, dyslipidemia, hypertension, and cardiometabolic inflammation using tools such as fasting insulin, hs-CRP, organic acid intermediates, and genomics (APOE, FTO, MTHFR).

    • Apply mitochondrial repletion strategies using CoQ10, carnitine, D-ribose, magnesium, and lifestyle medicine for energy restoration, post-viral fatigue, and metabolic flexibility.

    • Observe personalized nutrition interventions such as low-glycemic, Mediterranean, and therapeutic ketogenic protocols.

Module 2: Environmental Health & Detoxification

    • Identify environmental and internal toxic burdens through Hair Elements Analysis, Organic Acid Testing, and Phase I/II Detoxification markers (e.g., glutathione, quinolinate, pyroglutamate).

    • Understand the clinical relevance of heavy metals, mycotoxins, petrochemicals, and detox genomics (e.g., GSTM1, SOD2, NQO1).

    • Learn to implement safe detox protocols using glutathione precursors, binders, methylation support, sauna therapy, and dietary detox plans.

Module 3: Brain, Mood & Cognitive Health

    • Analyze neurotransmitter metabolism, neuroinflammation, and methylation pathways using urinary neurotransmitter panels, OAT results, and genomic SNPs (e.g., COMT, MAO-A, MTHFR).

    • Learn strategies for managing depression, anxiety, brain fog, post-COVID cognitive decline, and neurodegenerative risk.

    • Integrate nutraceuticals such as SAMe, magnesium L-threonate, phosphatidylserine, and adaptogenic herbs into brain-health focused protocols.

Module 4: Gastrointestinal & Immune Resilience

    • Interpret microbiome data from GI360â„¢, including bacterial diversity, pathogenic overgrowth, immune markers (secretory IgA, eosinophil protein X), and stool chemistries.

    • Review SIBO, IBS, IBD, candida overgrowth, and gut-liver axis dysfunction through patient cases and treatment plans.

    • Observe stepwise GI restoration protocols including microbial eradication, mucosal repair, immune modulation, and prebiotic fiber reintroduction.

Module 5: Hormonal & Neuroendocrine Optimization

    • Evaluate HPA axis function, adrenal dysregulation, and sex hormone imbalances using Hormonal MAP, DUTCH results, and related SNPs (e.g., CYP1B1, SHBG, ESR1).

    • Observe protocols for fatigue, estrogen dominance, PMS, PCOS, low testosterone, menopausal symptoms, and thyroid disorders.

    • Learn to apply herbal endocrinology (e.g., chasteberry, ashwagandha), adaptogens, and lifestyle timing strategies (e.g., chrononutrition, sleep alignment).

Module 6: Immune, Inflammatory & Autoimmune Disorders

    • Understand mechanisms behind chronic inflammation and immune dysregulation using functional markers such as CRP, cytokine cascades, and Th1/Th2 dominance patterns.

    • Explore autoimmune triggers such as food antigens, infections, and molecular mimicry.

    • Observe integrative protocols involving elimination diets, immunonutrition, anti-inflammatory botanicals (e.g., turmeric, boswellia), and immune modulators (e.g., vitamin D, probiotics, low-dose naltrexone).

Module 7: Longevity, Regeneration & Clinical Strategy

    • Explore advanced topics in longevity medicine including mitochondrial optimization, NAD+ metabolism, senolytics, fasting mimetics, and biological age testing.

    • Observe how Dr. Levy combines clinical diagnostics with strategic sequencing of care (e.g., Restore → Repair → Regulate → Reinforce).

    • Learn how to structure long-term care plans, apply systems-based logic to complex cases, and communicate clearly with patients for adherence and outcomes.
